mentored practice & Teacher training

Online | because your practice should be personal.

vision

Blomstre Yoga is mentored practice that meets you where you are.

This is not a studio or certification mill, but guided support for developing a genuine relationship with your body, breath, and life. Each session offers immediate tools for nervous system regulation and presence, while quietly opening doorways to deeper exploration for those who choose to continue.

Grounded in somatic wisdom and 25+ years of clinical experience, the work bridges ancient tradition and modern science. I’ve been teaching yoga and working with students 1:1 for over a decade; Blomstre is simply the first time I’ve gathered that work under one clear name. It’s for people who want practice over performance, relationship over transaction, and tools that actually work when life gets hard.

the blomstre promise

non-negotiables

Start Where You Are Every practice meets you in this moment – whether you’re brand new or deeply experienced, stressed or steady, flexible or stiff. You belong here. The practice adapts to you, not the other way around. Relief begins in the first session.

Real Tools for Real Life This is not abstract philosophy or impossible poses. Each session gives you practical techniques for stress, transition, and daily overwhelm – what you learn today, you use tonight. These practices are lived, tested, and refined in real bodies facing real circumstances.

Depth Without Dogma The work draws from multiple traditions – Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, clinical science – and stays responsive to what actually serves. Take what helps and leave what doesn’t. No rigid systems, no required beliefs, no spiritual performance. The only commitment is to honest exploration.

Sustainable Support This work has value and asks for genuine investment – financial, energetic, and personal. It’s accessible but intentional, not casual. The relationship invites your full participation while respecting your boundaries, capacity, and pace. You show up, I show up, and the practice h/olds us both.

THE PROMISE You will leave every session with something useful. You will find a practice that fits your actual life – not an idealized version of it. And if you choose to continue, you will discover how practice becomes life support that grows steadier and richer over time.

about Sara

I came to yoga through loss and the question it demanded: What am I doing with my one precious life? After my sister’s death, I’d been working in healthcare for over a decade—critical care, hospice, quality improvement—helping others while having no tools to optimize my own well-being. I was disconnected from my body and increasingly aware that Western medicine at the time wasn’t designed for flourishing, only for managing crisis.

What changed everything wasn’t yoga classes—it was mentors. Teachers who could meet me where I was, offer practices for what I was actually facing, and provide the kind of relational support that deepens over time. That 1:1 guidance through various stages of growth gave me embodied tools that proved essential when my remaining sister was diagnosed with cancer. She died two years ago, and I’m grateful yoga taught me how to show up—for her journey and my own grief—in ways my medical training never had.

Blomstre (Norwegian for “to bloom, to flourish”) grows from that integration. With over a decade of teaching and 1:1 work behind me, and now approaching 26 years in healthcare and completing dual doctoral degrees (DNP as Family Nurse Practitioner and PhD in Rural & Indigenous Public Health), I teach through a mentored, relational practice—the model that transformed my own life. Right now, I’m offering a Slow Sundays series and 1:1 mentored sessions. A small book club will follow later this year, and 200/300-hr teacher trainings will open once I’ve completed my doctoral commitments and can offer them in a way that’s spacious and sustainable for everyone involved. If any of this speaks to you, I’m here—reach out and we’ll explore what fits.
